This established heavy industrial business plays a critical role in supporting the construction and infrastructure sectors across NSW. The operation is fast-paced, highly automated and maintenance-driven, with a significant investment in plant reliability, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their afternoon shift maintenance team.

- $53/hr base rate + 17% afternoon shift loading
- Weekly earnings: $2,480 / Annual Salary: $129,000 + super
- Increase your base rate by up to $6 p/h with 4-monthly reviews
- Unlimited overtime available, easily earn $160,000 + super

The Role
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant equipment
- Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, screens, shredders and material handling equipment
- Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance
- Bearing, gearbox, pulley and conveyor component replacements
- Welding and light fabrication as required
- Planned shutdown and project work
- Working closely with operations to minimise downtime
- Maintaining a safe and reliable production environment
Requirements
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Experience within heavy industrial, recycling, quarrying, manufacturing, waste, mining, steel, cement or processing environments
- Strong fault finding and breakdown maintenance capability
- Experience with conveyors, crushers, screens or similar fixed plant equipment highly regarded
- Welding and fabrication experience advantageous
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work permanent afternoon shift
