The Company
This established heavy industrial company plays a key role in supplying essential materials into the construction, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors across NSW. Operating across multiple Sydney sites, the business offers stable long-term employment within a busy maintenance operation where equipment reliability is critical to keeping production moving.

The role will be primarily based out of the Botany facility, while also supporting the Blacktown operation and additional smaller Sydney sites as required. You’ll be joining a well-established maintenance team supporting both workshop and production operations across a range of heavy industrial assets and equipment.

Pay Rate / Salary Package
Based on a 59.5-hour week, the package is structured as:
• Monday – Friday standard hours: 5am–12:30pm (7.6hrs) paid at $50/hr = $1,900
• Monday – Friday overtime: 12:30pm–3:30pm (3hrs) paid at $75/hr = $1,125
• Saturday overtime: 5am–8am paid at $75/hr, then 8am–12pm paid at $100/hr = $625

Estimated weekly earnings: $3,650
Estimated annual earnings: circa $190,000 + super

The Role
Working within the maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for keeping heavy equipment and processing assets running reliably across multiple industrial sites throughout Sydney. The role offers exposure across both heavy fixed plant and mobile plant equipment within workshop and production environments.

Day to day you will be involved in:
• Maintenance and repairs on heavy fixed plant and mobile plant equipment
• Fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery
• Supporting shutdowns, breakdown response and reliability work
• Travelling between Sydney sites as required to support maintenance operations
• Workshop-based repairs, fabrication support and onsite maintenance activities
• Working closely with operations teams to minimise downtime

Requirements
• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
• Experience within heavy industry, recycling, manufacturing or fixed plant environments
• Exposure to heavy fixed plant and/or mobile plant equipment
• Strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites as well as within a larger maintenance team
• MIG or stick welding exposure highly regarded
• High Risk tickets highly desirable
• EWP and Forklift licences highly regarded
• Current driver’s licence required
