The Company
This established heavy industrial company plays a key role in supplying essential materials into the construction, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors across NSW. Operating out of a large-scale processing facility in Blacktown, they offer stable long-term employment within a busy operation where maintenance reliability is critical to keeping production moving.
The site has a strong workshop culture with a large team of Fitters and Boilermakers onsite, supporting both workshop maintenance and production operations across the facility. It's a fast-paced environment with plenty happening day to day, a busy maintenance schedule, and a genuinely good atmosphere across the team.

Pay Rates & Shift Structure
Base Rate: $50.50 - $52.42 p/h + super
Annualised equivalent: $165,236 - $171,518 + super 
Based on a 56-hour paid week, the standard working pattern is structured as:
  • First 38 hours paid at base rate
  • Next 18 hours paid at time and a half
  • Occasional longer Saturdays or Sunday shutdowns may push additional hours into double time; however, this is not included in the annualised calculations below
Annualised earnings are based on 48 weeks working the standard pattern plus 4 weeks annual leave paid at ordinary hours.

The Role
Working within the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for keeping heavy equipment and processing assets running reliably across a busy industrial site. The role offers exposure across both heavy fixed plant and mobile plant equipment within a workshop and production environment.
Day to day you will be involved in:
  • Maintenance and repairs on heavy fixed plant and mobile plant equipment
  • Fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery
  • Supporting shutdowns, breakdown response and reliability work
  • Working closely with operations teams to minimise downtime
  • Workshop-based repairs, fabrication support and onsite maintenance activities

Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
  • Experience within heavy industry, recycling, manufacturing or fixed plant environments
  • MIG or stick welding exposure highly regarded
  • High Risk tickets such as confined space, WAH, EWP, Forklift highly desirable
