Shift Structure & Pay:
- Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm
- Pay rate as per the applicable award
- Overtime available: Usually 1–5 hours per week
The Role: Working alongside a qualified Electrical Tradesperson, you will predominantly be out in the field assisting with routine maintenance, repairs and upgrades to overhead cranes and lifting equipment. You will gain broad exposure to industrial electrical systems while completing your Certificate III in Electrotechnology and working towards your full electrical licence.
Duties include:
- Assisting with routine electrical maintenance and servicing
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Repairs and upgrades to overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Working with electrical control panels and crane control systems
- Exposure to PLCs and VSDs
- Working with motors, contactors, switches and sensors
- Testing and commissioning
- Assisting with breakdown repairs
Requirements:
- Currently completing Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice
- Current Driver Licence
- Reliable, safety-conscious and eager to learn
- Industrial experience preferred but not essential – apprentices from construction or other electrical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
