  • $55–$65 per hour base
  • Salary range: $135k–$175k + super

The Role
You’ll be you’ll be responsible for keeping heavy equipment and processing assets running reliably across a busy industrial site.
This is a tight-knit facility with a crew of around 10 onsite, offering a highly autonomous environment where you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running. You’ll be the only mechanical tradesperson on site, supported by operators and an electrical leading hand/supervisor.

Day to day you will be involved in:
  • Maintenance and repairs on trucks, mobile plant and fixed equipment
  • Fault finding, servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery
  • Supporting shutdowns, breakdown response and reliability work
  • Working closely with operations teams to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining safe work practices and compliance with site procedures
  • Manage contractors on-site to ensure work is carried out to plan
  • Supporting a small team environment, working closely with operators who assist during shutdowns
  • Carrying out basic welding (MIG, Stick, occasional TIG), with additional contractor support where required

The Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
  • Strong experience in heavy industry — manufacturing, quarry, mining, logistics or large-scale industrial environments
  • Drivers Licence
  • Experience working on Fixed and Mobile Plant Equipment
  • High Risk licences (or willingness to obtain) advantageous
