Join an established Australian manufacturing business operating a large 24/7 production facility in Moorabbin. With a dedicated on-site maintenance team supporting a busy manufacturing environment, this is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable Monday–Friday day shift with varied maintenance, project and improvement work.

Monday to Friday day shift
Stable 8:00am–4:00pm working hours
Occasional 10:00am–6:00pm shift when required
Double time for weekend work

Shift Structure & Pay
$52.00 per hour + super
Monday to Friday – 8:00am–4:00pm
Occasional 10:00am–6:00pm shift when operationally required
Weekend work paid at double time
Overtime may occasionally be available but is not a regular requirement

The Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving production machinery and equipment within a busy 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response across production machinery
Preventative and planned maintenance
Installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Machine upgrades, modifications and efficiency improvements
MIG welding and fabrication
Project work and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintenance and fault finding on pneumatic systems
Supporting site utilities including air compressors and chillers
Working closely with production and the wider maintenance team to improve equipment reliability

Requirements
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter – Certificate III or equivalent
Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or FMCG
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
MIG welding experience
Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
Experience with chillers, compressors or other site utilities highly regarded
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
Full Australian working rights
