Benefits
$52 per hour base
Rotating shifts (2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons, 2 weeks nights)
Afternoon shift: 15% loading & night shift: 30% loading
Annual salary $124,000 + super
Annual salary with overtime $131,000 – $138,000
1 day weekend overtime per month

The Role
This isn’t a traditional maintenance role. You’ll be working at the heart of highly automated, mission-critical systems that keep airport operations moving.
Around 70% of your time will be based at the airport in Mascot, maintaining advanced freight and baggage handling systems. The remaining 30% will see you servicing a highly automated car park in Western Sydney.
As the year progresses, you’ll also be involved in major upcoming projects, including the installation at the new Western Sydney Airport and two new state-of-the-art automated car parks. This is a genuine opportunity to learn new technology from the ground up and be part of delivering it into live environments.
Your day-to-day will include:
Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response across automated conveyor and sortation systems
Preventative maintenance on motors, gearboxes, chains, bearings and mechanical drive components
Belt tracking, alignment and replacement on conveyor systems
Maintenance of hydraulic systems and lifting equipment
Supporting automated parking systems including lifts, hoists and transfer mechanisms
Assisting with upgrades, installs and improvements on both legacy and new equipment
Travelling between sites as required using company pool vehicles
You’ll also gain exposure to electrical systems, working closely alongside controls and electrical teams as part of a broader automation environment.
Requirements
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
Experience with conveyors, motors and mechanical systems
Exposure to hydraulics highly regarded
Comfortable in a customer-facing environment
