Pay Rate / Salary Package
Based on a standard 52.5-hour week, the package is structured as:
- Estimated weekly earnings: $3,566.75
- Estimated annual earnings: Circa $185,500 + super
The Role
Working within the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for keeping a large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing facility operating at peak performance. This is a hands-on maintenance position with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, breakdown response and plant reliability across a wide range of heavy processing equipment.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across heavy industrial plant and processing equipment
- Mechanical fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Diagnosing equipment failures and responding to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Assisting with machinery installations, modifications and plant upgrades
- Welding, fabrication, grinding and general mechanical repairs
- Supporting continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
Requirements
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
- Experience within heavy industrial manufacturing, recycling, steel, quarrying, cement, mining or similar environments
- Mig & Stick welding
