This established organisation operates within the residential aged care sector, providing care and support to older Australians across its network of facilities. They are currently looking for a Maintenance Officer to join their 100-bed facility in Warrawee, taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance across the site.

The Role
As the sole Maintenance Officer on site, you'll be responsible for maintaining the facility, grounds, plant and equipment, reporting into the Residential Manager and Property Manager.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the facility
- Painting and plastering
- Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Equipment repairs and general upkeep
- Gardening and grounds maintenance
- Planning and completing preventative and corrective maintenance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance schedules and records
- Organising and coordinating external trades and contractors
- Supervising contractors while on site
- Assisting with refurbishment, equipment replacement and capital works
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Officer, Facilities Maintenance, Handyman or similar hands-on role
- Trade qualification highly regarded, but not essential
- Good understanding of WHS and safe working practices
