The Role
You’ll provide electrical engineering expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects, with exposure to medium and high voltage systems, substations, transmission and distribution networks, renewable energy and transport infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and delivering concept, feasibility and detailed electrical designs
- Working across substations, switchgear, transformers, protection and control, earthing and power distribution systems
- Supporting renewable energy, battery storage, grid connection, transmission and distribution projects
- Providing technical input across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Managing engineering packages, design reviews, technical risks and stakeholder interfaces
- Supporting proposals, tenders and business development activities
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers
The Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong post-graduate experience in electrical/power engineering
- Experience in one or more of transmission, distribution, substations, renewables, BESS, grid connections, rail/traction power or industrial power
- Strong knowledge of power system design, protection, switchgear, transformers, earthing and network integration
- Experience taking projects from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning
- Consulting experience is highly desirable
- RPEQ/CPEng or eligibility to obtain is advantageous
