The Company
A well-established Australian business operating within the materials handling sector is seeking a Service Manager for their Adelaide division. With a national footprint supporting major industrial, mining, manufacturing and infrastructure clients, they provide preventative maintenance, breakdown support, inspections, repairs and project solutions across a range of heavy industrial lifting and materials handling equipment.
This is a fast-paced, operational leadership role suited to someone who thrives managing technicians, clients, quoting and service delivery within a demanding industrial environment.

Benefits
  • Permanent role Monday – Friday 6:30am-4:30pm
  • Flat hourly rate of $65 – $75 per hour depending on experience
  • Approx. $152K – $195K + super based on a typical 45–50 hour working week
  • OVERTIME/ Additional weekend penalty rates applicable when completing billable client/site work

The Role
Reporting into senior management, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Adelaide service division across multiple contractual sites and industrial clients.
The business operates within a high-demand service environment supporting customers whose operations run continuously, requiring strong organisation, responsiveness and commercial awareness.
You will lead a team of technicians while also managing quoting, scheduling, client relationships and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing day-to-day service operations across South Australia
  • Leading and supporting a team of service technicians
  • Managing quotations, costing, invoicing and productivity
  • Reviewing and understanding service contracts and client obligations
  • Coordinating breakdowns, preventative maintenance and project works
  • Attending client meetings, site inspections and project discussions
  • Managing customer relationships and identifying ongoing opportunities
  • Overseeing procurement and ordering of materials/equipment
  • Supporting project delivery and installation activities where required
  • Driving continuous improvement across the service division
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with Australian standards
  • Working closely with internal operations, planning and sales teams
Requirements
  • Ideally 2 years management experience in industrial service operations or maintenance teams
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification
  • Strong background within materials handling, cranes, industrial service, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Experience dealing directly with industrial clients and contractual service work
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
