The Role
Working within the maintenance team, you’ll play a key role supporting fabrication and repair works across a busy heavy industrial site. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, with a mix of workshop and on-plant work across large-scale equipment.
Day to day you will be involved in:
• Stick and MIG welding across plant, equipment and site infrastructure
• Repairing and reinforcing bins, trailers and mobile plant
• Fabrication and modification work to support ongoing plant improvements
• Structural repairs on heavy processing equipment including shredding and cutting machinery
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out urgent repairs to keep production moving
• Working alongside fitters on shutdowns, rebuilds and planned maintenance activities
• Inspecting equipment, identifying wear/damage and proactively carrying out repairs
• Maintaining high safety standards while working across a heavy industrial environment
Requirements
• Trade qualified Boilermaker or Fabricator
• Strong stick and MIG welding experience within a heavy industrial environment
• Confined Space, Working at Heights and/or EWP tickets highly regarded
